Does anyone know of prams, pushchairs, car seats and other baby equipment that works well with 'dodgy' RA fingers? I'm due with my first child on 27 November and struggling to find equipment that doesn't require negotiating stiff buttons, levers and catches.

Many thanks,
Helen

Hi Helen!

Congratulations!

I have bumped a thread for you and thought I wrote something but can't find it- I had a baby nearly 4 yrs ago now

I would say our key things were to get all the vests and baby grows in and get some iron on Velcro. Get well meaning people who say 'anything I can do....?!' to stick them on over the poppers.

Get a bath bucket (are they called belly buckets?)
Get a doo moo (soft bean bag for baby and toddler)
Get a rabbitt changing mat (essential) all my friends have one now after they saw mine! It has soft velcro'd straps

If you are using washables go for tots bots. (big wide easy straps) fine for new borns.... We gave up when she became mobile! If not we found huggies best for our girl. We did find pampers at night better.

Slings wise- get a mei tai one- no fiddly catches. Lots of snazzy designs- lots of lovely bonding!

The buggies thread says the rest on those

Also get a car seat for when baby is bigger that turns to the door

I never did manage bernie at night- richard has got to get her and would pass her to me to feed etc but I couldn't pick her up at nights.

When she got too big for the bath baby bucket thing we had a baby bath support then had a turny seat from Argos.

Hope some of this helps

Jenni xx
